Choreographer Christos Papadopoulos: Presentation and Q&A

February 6 | 7:00 pm 8:00 pm

Join renowned Greek choreographer Christos Papadopoulos for an exclusive presentation of his work, and more specifically his acclaimed work LARSEN C, performed at Sadler’s Wells and shortlisted for the prestigious Rose Prize 2025. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.

Through choreography, Christos Papadopoulos explores the intricate relationships between time, nature, and human expression. His work is inspired by the rhythms and structures of the natural world — the synchronized movements of birds, the flow of the wind, or the imperceptible shifts of glaciers. These phenomena remind him of the quiet yet profound interconnectedness of life, which he strives to capture through movement. In his pieces, such as LARSEN C and OPUS, he focuses on simplicity and repetition, creating immersive, trance-like experiences. LARSEN C transforms human bodies into metaphors for glacial motion, while OPUS explores the dialogue between music and movement, with dancers embodying instruments, in an attempt to make sound visible. Papadopoulos’ approach emphasises “micromovements”, and how individuality is discovered through working in the collective.
