The Hellenic Centre Director Dr. Nayia Yiakoumaki is joined by artist Maria Loizidou and Director of the Freud Museum London Dr. Giuseppe Albano, for an in-conversation event looking at the process of The Place I am Not, Loizidou’s new work produced for the Hellenic Centre and the Freud Museum London.
This unique collaboration explores the themes of identity, belonging, and the immigrant experience through the lens of Sigmund Freud’s life in London—a city where he created a home away from home, and the Hellenic Centre’s original purpose, to become a home for the Greek diaspora.
