35 years after the fall of communism in Romania, we invite you to reflect on this defining chapter in the country’s history with a multifaceted programme of events spanning four weeks. Starting with the inauguration of “35 Years and One Day”, an outdoor documentary exhibition that delves into Romania’s dark past, the series of events will continue with the screening of Tudor Giurgiu’s “Freedom” (2023) and a community event honouring the memory of the December 1989 victims. Throughout the remaining weeks, the Institute will welcome visits from local schools and institutions, offering guided tours of the exhibition and the imposing architectural gem located at 1 Belgrave Square.
Partners: IICMER and the Embassy of Romania in the UK.
