SUMMARY:RELOCATIONS [ΜΕΤΑΚΟΜΙΣΕΙΣ] — A Solo Exhibition by Zenon Jepras
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Cyprus House in London for the opening of RELOCATIONS [ΜΕΤΑΚΟΜΙΣΕΙΣ]\, a powerful solo exhibition by acclaimed Cypriot-Greek-Welsh artist Zenon Jepras. \nThrough vivid\, narrative-driven painting\, Jepras explores memory\, exile\, mythology\, and the deeply personal stories that shape our sense of place and belonging. The exhibition traces a lifelong journey — both physical and emotional — beginning with a family road trip across Europe in the summer of 1974\, just as Cyprus faced the trauma of invasion. \nIn Jepras’ words\, “To paint is to unpack.” His canvases are richly layered with symbolism\, texture\, and emotion\, inviting viewers to reflect on the objects\, memories\, and meanings we carry with us — especially in times of upheaval. \nFrom ancient myth to absurdist theatre\, from current socio-political realities to personal archives of displacement\, RELOCATIONS is a story both intimate and universal. \nAbout the Artist \nBorn in Wales in 1969 to Greek parents from Cyprus and Corfu\, Zenon Jepras studied painting at the Glasgow School of Art and Critical Studies at Goldsmiths\, University of London. He has exhibited widely in Cyprus\, the UK\, Greece\, Portugal\, and Germany\, and his works are held in major collections including the Cypriot State Collection of Contemporary Art\, the Central Bank of Cyprus\, and the Luciano Benetton Collection. \nAdmission is free. \nAll are welcome. The opening event includes welcome drinks and speeches. \nFollow Zenon Jepras on Instagram: @zenonart.cyArtist Website: zenonart.co.uk
