TO EUNIC LONDON

EUNIC London (European Union National Institutes for Culture) is the network of the cultural institutes and embassies from the member states of the European Union in London. A branch of EUNIC Global, the London network was established in 2007 and has at present 37 members who share knowledge and resources in order to promote greater cooperation and develop partnerships between European nations and UK organisations .

What We Do

EUNIC London is a proud initiator, organiser and supporter of creative projects highlighting Europe’s fantastic diversity in arts, culture and language. Since its establishment EUNIC London has developed annual as well as one-off projects such as the European Writers Festival, In Short, Europe Short Film Festival, Harvesting Young Creativity, Imagining Futures, EUNICAST: Meet Visionary Europeans, AI Science Café Series, Robotville & Robot Safari, Currency Festival, The Games Europe Plays, Theatre of Europe and many more. EUNIC London is not a funding body and does not have the capacity to support external projects financially.

EUNIC London is grateful for the support of the EU Delegation to the UK and our UK partners.

With their rich and varied arts events from across the continent, EUNIC London plays an important role in promoting European culture in the UK.

Jeroen Deckmyn

Jeroen Deckmyn is the Deputy General Representative at the General Representation of Flanders in London. Before moving to London, Jeroen worked as Senior Officer in Public Affairs at the Embassy of Canada to Belgium and Luxembourg. Prior to that, he worked as Communications Officer at the diplomatic mission of Taiwan to the EU. In 2011, Jeroen moved to the People's Republic of China to learn Mandarin. He became a freelance copywriter, translator and journalist. In 2013, when China expelled some foreign journalists, Jeroen moved to Taiwan, where he stayed until 2019, working mainly for Taiwanese television. Jeroen holds a Master of Arts degree in Dutch and French linguistics and literature.

Marika Goldman

Marika Goldman is the Cultural Counsellor at the Estonian Embassy in London. She did her bachelor’s degree in Culture Management and her Master’s degree in Communication Management. She has worked in the culture field and with different cultural organisations for the past 18 years. Goldman has an extensive experience in culture management, international relations and marketing. Before her posting in London Goldman worked as the Head of Marketing at the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024. In London her main priorities are strengthening ties between Estonian and United Kingdom’s culture organisations, artists and producers.

Marios Theocharous

Marios is currently the Cultural Attaché at the Cyprus High Commission in London. He holds an MFA in Theatre Direction, Columbia University, NYC, USA. He has been the Artistic Director of the Pocket Theatre, Cyprus, since 2012. He directed various productions and shows and curated major children & adolescents theatre festivals and in Cyprus and Greece. His work was included in international festivals and showcases.
