Join us for an evocative evening of music and storytelling with Antigoni Buxton and Kara Marni, two acclaimed London-based artists of Cypriot heritage.
In Voices of Aphrodite, contemporary sounds meet ancient spirit as these two artists bring their unique voices to the stage, accompanied by an ensemble of Cypriot musicians including Mario Constantinou on the bouzouki. The programme blends original songs with influences from Cyprus and the UK, celebrating identity, emotion, and the rich musical traditions that unite us.
Through powerful vocals and captivating performances, this concert honours the modern diaspora experience, echoing the timeless energy of Aphrodite—goddess of love and beauty—while creating new cultural bridges between Cyprus and the UK.
This concert is presented as part of the Proud Voices initiative, a programme celebrating inclusivity, creative expression, and Cypriot culture in all its diversity.
