EUNIC London (European Union National Institutes for Culture) is the network of European cultural institutes and embassies in the UK. Together, we share knowledge and resources to foster collaboration and develop partnerships between European nations and British organisations.
As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting Europe’s rich linguistic and literary diversity, EUNIC London has long supported European literature and literary translation. Each year, we compile this practical guide to translation and publishing grants available for European books to be translated into English and other languages.
This publication offers an overview of funding opportunities, grant schemes and supporting organisations across most EU countries, alongside useful contact details and relevant websites. It is designed as a resource for publishers, translators, literature organisations and other professionals working internationally within the literary sector.
We hope this guide will support the circulation of European literature across borders and help bring more outstanding international voices to wider audiences of readers.
